OCTOBER Free Raw Living Foods Lecture at New Frontiers

Hi Sarah,

I got your name from Mei Hoy! She told me that you are in charge of the SLO raw food potluck gatherings. We would love to attend sometime!

My husband and I are going to be doing a free raw living foods lecture at the New Frontiers in October and we would like to also hold a class in the SLO area a few weeks later. Although I lived in SLO, Los Osos and Avila for about 15 years (10 years ago) I would love some imput on where to hold a class/workshop and I was hoping you would have some ideas, or know of someone who would let us use their home. AUGUST 20th Garden Party & Potluck 1:00pm - Midnight

AUGUST 7th Welcome Note

Greetings!

For the past year, Tawny Anderson and I have been the coordinators for all things raw when it comes to food in San Luis Obispo! In October 2004, we hosted the Central Coast's first Raw Food Retreat in Cayucos, CA. The three-day retreat was a total success and an amazing experience for the 11 guests who attended. Now, a full year later, retreaters and friends are clamoring for more get-togethers to share nutritious food!

Although our retreat created the momentum for the pot lucks, there are four SLO residents who are truly responsible for sustaining it: Bob McAfee, Nic, Karen and Marvin Gross are the glue that keeps the raw / living / organic movement in motion. Their passion, enthusiasm and genuine interest in "healthy eating" is true blue, and they love contributing to the celebration of all things produce!

Our intention with this blog is to create a space where you can dip in and see where the latest raw food pot luck is taking place, and what other goodies and events are on the menu. Feel free to post your thoughts, and if you haven't met Bob, Nic, Karen or Marvin, you will be able to read a profile on them in the days to come.
